Elements of Our Progam
Our program involves guest familes living in a structured program of host churches. These host churches provide lodging, three meals daily, and welcoming hospitality in weekly rotations of the families among the 14 host congregations.

Our guest families use the local day center from 7:00 AM to 5:00PM, where the Family Promise director, a professional social worker, provides case management services. There, guests pursue employment, tend pre-school children, shower, and do laundry. The day center provides guests with a mailing address and a base for housing and employment. Many guests are employed during the day, while older children attend school.

Our volunteers from the congregations are the heart of our program. They provide various services including cooking and serving meals, playing with children or helping them with homework, and simply interacting with guests. Two volunteers stay overnight every night with the families.

Transportation is provided by the Family Promise van that transports the guests to and from the day center. The van also carries bedding and luggage to the next host congregation.
